Mask

If you look from afar
and you squint your eyes just right
You can see my best friend
Hidden beneath all the lies

But walk a little closer
And you notice something new
It like the image changes
Right before your eyes

He morphs and puts on a new face
He tries so hard to hide
I just don't understand
He's trying to be like all other guys

So now my best friend is my worst enemy
All because he knows that I can see
I see the guy hiding right there inside
It's kind of like my best friend died

But there he is standing so far away
That if I squint my eyes just right
The mask flies away...
